The Bee had a massive meltdown tonight. Why do eight-year-olds still act like they’re two sometimes?
I don’t know what’s going on in her brain, but I wish it would stop.
Bumblebee Sweet Potato
My daughter is the Bumblebee. My son is the Sweet Potato. You'll have to ask their father.

So upsetting to learn that the meltdowns still happen when they are eight…sigh. Hope everyone has recovered…

I hear you. Mine is only 5 but she still has full blown 2 year old meltdowns from time to time.
So you’re saying I can’t look forward to that ending?

Sarah will be 11 on December 9th and she still has them occasionally. I’m sure she will have them at 99 years old, its just her personality!

Wait, they don’t stop at the magical age of 6 (an age we are approaching in a few months)? Oh, great, I just KNEW it.

I don’t know. But I too wish it would stop.
Diva Girl has never in her life had a “screaming and writhing on the floor of the mall” fit. Until last night.
It must be something in the air.

I don’t know.
I also don’t know why I act like an 8 year old sometimes – I guess it’s just inside all of us.

My bear is having a ton of 2 yr old meltdowns and whining lately. So frustrating. She is only 1.5 yrs removed from being 2 but still…c’mon! enough already

I laughed when I read Jay’s comment, I was thinking the same thing! I sort of figure Sarah got that characteristic from me, afterall, I rant and rave sometimes and that is just an adult tantrum!

It only gets worse as they age. Mine is 10 and she kicks my butt everyday. I fear the alpha girl.

Brace yourself–this is very pre-adolescent hormones kicking in. JR is doing the same thing. And SC went through it too.
But it does pass!
It passes. What replaces it isn’t necessarily any better

Oh, dear, you mean I have two more years of this?
