merp

A few weeks ago, landisdad starting saying the word “merp” whenever he was telling me a story about one of the kids whining or complaining.

“Dad, I can’t find my shoes <MERP>”

“Dad, I fell down on the playground <MERP>”

It’s gradually evolved to be a sort-of ‘yadda yadda yadda‘ in our daily conversations. At this point, we don’t even tell each other what the complaint was about. It’s just, “Mom! MERP!”

I’m so lucky to be married to that guy.
